You Don't Need To Fix Yourself

In this video, Dr John Demartini explains that there's nothing you need to fix about yourself. The reason you think you need to fix something is because you're comparing yourself to other people and trying to live in their values.

When you try to live in other people's values you start to think you're making mistakes. The same is true when you expect other people to live in your values - you tend to think that they're making mistakes!

We all want to be loved for who we are. But it's hard to be loved by others for who we truly are when we're comparing ourselves to others, as we're not being ourselves. Anytime we compare ourselves to others we depreciate away our true identities.

Dr Demartini explains that we're not here to compare ourselves to others, we're here to compare our own actions to our own highest values and highest mission in life, and look at how congruent they are. Unfortunately, most people are distracted by comparing themselves to other people.

If you compare yourself to others, or you don't feel that you're being yourself, watch this video and learn how to love yourself for who you truly are.

If you haven't yet determined your values to help you better understand who you truly are, then I can highly recommend this FREE Values Determination exercise by Dr John Demartini. This exercise has helped me to identify my highest values, which lets me compare the actions I take every day against what's truly important to me. By comparing my daily actions against my highest values, I'm able to see whether I'm living authentically or whether I'm trying to live in other people's values.
